My friends NP (fearless goat) and Meagan came over to my neck of the woods yesterday. We enjoyed a pleasant stroll though the neighborhood. NP and I brought our cameras and took a few photos along the way. :)

Northwest Portland Adventures

My trip with a friend to Pro Photo Supplies turned into an adventurous afternoon in northwest Portland. A long time ago, on a cold and rainy day in December 2009, I drove past a very photogenic train caboose with a ton of graffiti on it. Every day since then I would wish I had my camera on me when I drove past it that one time before and it has been in the back of my mind until now to find it again and shoot it down (with my camera of course.) Today is a special day because I now have owned that caboose and captured it on digital bytes of data!

Self Portraits

Amongst my busy week I found time to take a quick snap shot of my self. Normally I'm just fine with staying on the other side of my lens, but once in a while you'll find that I come out from behind the camera and my face shows up on the web. I take a "decent" picture of myself about once every tramillion months or so. Ok more like 3 or so. But you get the picture; not that often (=

Urban night out in PDX

The other night I went out with a friend to photograph the city how it is. I came back and was stoked to see how these images turned out. btw, I was testing out my new 135mm f/2.0 L and I'm really really impressed with the quality in that glass. I'm hoping in the next year or so to move toward mostly prime lenses. Most of the shots were taken with that lens but a few of the wider ones were with my 24-70mmL. Take a look:
