Weekend hike up Angels Rest

Just wanted to give a quick update about my hike up angels rest yesterday. My friend Isaac and I went up here pretty spontaneously just to get out of the city on such a beautiful weekend. As usual I brought my camera (and iPhone for instant photos). Here are my favorite shots taken with only my iPhone from the top. The images of isaac jumping are snapshots of my 5dmarkII LCD screen just shot on my phone. I hope to post the real shots taken for stock purposes later in the week!

Climbing Hamilton

As I rolled out of bed this morning, I looked outside and thought it would be a great day for a hike. Sure enough, my good friend Isaac thought so too. We wanted to hit the road quickly so I packed up and left to pick Isaac up. Isaac is a much more experienced hiker than me, so we figured Hamilton in the Gorge would be an easy middle ground for us. The view was extraordinary, the typical gorge wind gusts were gentle and the sun even broke out of the clouds. Here are a few of my favorite shots of Isaac hiking and jumping off of cliffs. We had a great time today and I am so thankful the weather was so nice! Spring is great!

Last month I reconnected with the family of a previous wedding client to shoot family portraits for them. I was really happy with how these turned out, we almost got snowed out of shooting. We did the family photos up at the historic Pittock Mansion, which is a beautiful place. I am really glad everyone in this family was so easy going and willing to try different things. Jordan and Nikki are great people. They love each other and have a love for the Oregon beach. They wanted to do their engagement photos at the beach on a nice day because it means a lot to them. The first day we schedule the shoot for, it got rained out. But fortunately the second time around we got some really nice weather. I had a lot of fun during our shoot together, Jordan and Nikki are fun, relaxed and outgoing people. Thanks for an awesome shoot guys!
